Tank Support Saddle Rehabilitation & Structural Restoration

Rehabilitating a severely deteriorated tank support saddle through surface preparation, steel plate fabrication, structural strengthening, and application of an acid-resistant coating system to restore integrity and extend service life.

The Problem

A tank support saddle had experienced significant deterioration and corrosion creating concerns about long-term structural integrity. Before repairs could begin, extensive debris removal and surface preparation were required to expose the affected areas and allow for proper rehabilitation.

The Solution

RAK Industrial Services mobilized to the site and removed accumulated debris surrounding the tank saddle before performing abrasive blasting to prepare the surface. Following preparation, our team fabricated custom steel plates and reinforced the saddle area to provide additional structural integrity. The repair was completed with steel reinforcement designed to restore strength and improve the long-term reliability of the support structure followed by the application of a high-performance acid-resistant coating system to provide long-term chemical protection.
