Corroded Liquor Line with Multiple Active Leaks

Severe corrosion under insulation resulted in seven active leaks, extensive pitting, and deterioration along the liquor line. After repairing the leaks, our team rehabilitated the affected section in service with a multi-layer carbon fiber system to restore structural integrity and provide long-term reinforcement.

The Problem

A liquor line inside a tank containment area had experienced severe corrosion under insulation (CUI). Once the insulation was removed, the crew discovered seven active leaks along with extensive pitting and surface deterioration. The damaged pipe required immediate structural rehabilitation.

The Solution

Our team removed the insulation and prepared the affected section for repair. The active leaks were repaired, allowing the line to be returned to service. The pipe was then rehabilitated while in service with a multi-layer carbon fiber system to restore structural integrity and reinforce the affected section for long-term reliability.
