20 Feet of 36″ Flushing Liquor Pipe Rehabilitation

A severely deteriorated flushing liquor pipe with extensive corrosion, pitting, surface degradation, and multiple active leaks requiring immediate structural rehabilitation while remaining in service.

The Problem

A severely deteriorated flushing liquor pipe had experienced extensive corrosion, surface degradation, pitting, and multiple active leaks. Operating at approximately 180°F, the damaged pipe required structural rehabilitation to restore integrity while avoiding disruption to plant operations.

The Solution

Our team mobilized to repair approximately 20 feet of the affected pipe. After hand cleaning and prepping the surface, damaged areas and active leaks were restored. The rehabilitation was completed with multiple layers of carbon fiber to restore structural integrity, followed by a high-performance protective coating system to provide long-term corrosion resistance and protect against UV exposure. The project was completed safely with zero downtime and avoiding the need for full pipe replacement.
