Multiple Active Leaks Across Deteriorated Process Piping

Approximately 43 feet of connected large-diameter piping had extensive corrosion, severe pitting, surface deterioration, and multiple active leaks. Our team repaired the leaks, prepared the piping with low-pressure abrasive blasting, and installed a multi-layer carbon fiber system around complex connections and obstructions to restore structural integrity and provide a 20+ year life expectancy.

The Problem

Approximately 35 feet of 34-inch piping and 8 feet of connected 18-inch piping had experienced extensive corrosion, pitting, surface deterioration, and multiple active leaks. Several flanges, branch connections, supports, and obstructions created additional challenges throughout the rehabilitation.

The Solution

Our team repaired active leaks and prepped the surface with low-pressure abrasive blasting. The rehabilitation was completed using a multi-layer carbon fiber repair system and integrated flanges, Ts, welds, saddles, and branch connections. The project was completed with all leaks eliminated and structural integrity restored with a 20+ year life expectancy for the pipe.
