An FRP exhaust duct system was experiencing operational issues associated with a damaged internal damper assembly. The condition required corrective work to restore proper functionality while maintaining the integrity of the existing duct system. Repair needed to be performed during 12-hour downturn to avoid loss of production.
The Solution
Our team created an access point in the FRP exhaust duct to reach the internal damper assembly. The team performed the necessary mechanical repairs and adjustments before repairing the duct section. Once the repair work was completed, the access area was reinforced and coated with a protective coating system to provide long-term durability.
