Collapsed Fume Exhaust Duct Rehabilitation

The Problem

An industrial facility experienced the collapse of approximately 50 feet of 18-inch fume exhaust ductwork, creating multiple damaged connections and large gaps at several lateral joints. The facility needed a repair solution to seal damaged joints and return the exhaust system to service without ongoing leakage.

The Solution

Our team mobilized to support the duct repair and rehabilitation effort. Once the new ductwork was installed, we repaired and reinforced five connections using a combination of fast curing composite materials and protective coatings. All repaired joints remained leak-free, resulting in a successful restoration of the fume exhaust system in a very short time period to minimize downtime.
