Multi-Leak Gas Line Repair with Carbon Fiber Reinforcement

The team implemented a multi-step carbon fiber repair system to restore integrity and reinforce vulnerable areas. All repairs were completed in service, eliminating downtime while improving long-term reliability and reducing future maintenance needs.

The Problem

RAK received a call from a customer regarding multiple gas leaks that posed safety risks and needed to be addressed immediately to avoid downtime. The pipe had old, deteriorating brackets that required removal, and previously made fiberglass repairs had failed compromising the structural integrity of the pipe.

The Solution

RAK designed and implemented a multi-step carbon fiber repair system to restore the structural integrity of the pipe and all work was performed with zero downtime.
