Carbon Fiber Repair for Pickle Acid Tank Leak

RAK repaired a leak on a pickle acid tank where access was restricted by a structural beam. The team applied an acid-resistant carbon fiber system, carefully working around the obstruction to seal and reinforce the area. The repair restored the tank’s integrity and was completed efficiently without disrupting operations.

The Problem

RAK Industrial Services was called to repair a leak on a pickle acid tank at a Steel Treatment facility. The position of the leak posed a challenge due to the obstruction caused by a beam. In addition to sealing the leak, our team needed to account for the beam, ensuring that the repair was completed effectively.

The Solution

Our team employed an acid-resistant Carbon Fiber system to seal and reinforce the leak. The solution was carefully applied to the affected area above the beam, with special attention to navigating the obstruction. The Carbon Fiber system was chosen for its strength, flexibility, and rapid application, ensuring the repair was done swiftly while maintaining the structural integrity of the tank.
